ARTsisters Exhibition Extension

I have two updates for you :

First:
Have you heard?
The ARTsisters exhibition at Old City Jewish Art Center (119 N. 3rd St, Phila.) is being extended until July  23rd.

The Sunday before that, July 20, from 2-4pm, ARTsister Linda Dubin Garfield will present an Interactive Workshop with the theme "Best Friends". Suggested donation $5 to benefit Women's Way.

"El Viaje de la Mariposa" (Butterfly's Journey) 18x18" Acrylic (C) 2014 Jeanne Guerin-Daley
The image above is a closeup of a monarch butterfly, stopping along its long journey across the continents. It is my submission to the exhibition and is hanging now in Old City. As noted above, it is available for view only until July 23rd.
(Gallery Hours are Tues-Thurs 12:00-5:00 pm and by appointment)

Second thing:
Would you like to learn to paint a similar image yourself?
I have just posted to my blog, the latest schedule for the July Painting Workshops.
I will be teaching them at Michaels Conshohocken store,
[104 Alan Wood Rd, Conshohocken PA 19428; Ph:610-828-5815]
provided the minimum number of folks register.
Saturday, July 19 at Noon,  there will be a 2-hr seascape workshop.
If you join us you can paint a shore scene to hang in your shore house!
(Acrylic paints will be used.)

Immediately following that, at 2pm, I will host a kids class,* where an image a bit similar to the butterfly above will be painted, but on a much simpler scale, since it must be finished in two hours. (The above painting took me many more hours to complete.)
*You don't HAVE to be a kid to paint here, but you CAN be!
More details about the workshops can be found by clicking the "Painting Workshops" Tab at the top of this blog page.
