make a difference in our world. Let’s make some noise, people!
Do you remember the amazing impact which was felt when so
many Americans showed up in DC on January 21, 2017? One person CAN make a
difference. Each individual, one at a
time, made the decision to show up and let their voice be heard - across the
nation and the world.

There are twenty-four hours in every day. We all have the same amount of time. We each choose different ways to use it. Sometimes we don't have much choice but we do what we have to do.
Recently, I have had days where I sooo wish I had more time to paint, but other responsibilities mandated that I do other things. (Sigh). It is the way of the world. It is often frustrating to Jeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-81964745406567503882016-12-22T13:46:00.000-05:002016-12-22T13:46:19.919-05:00Christmas ReWish 2016
A Christmas ReWish
I reposted the poem below last year. I wanted to send out good wishes for all during the holiday season.
The poem is not new; I created that several years ago (but it is still current in its hopes for the season).
The [watercolor] painting of the red poinsettia was created new last year. I had hoped to create a new one this year, but as it turns out, another creation Jeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-83944216104009648612016-10-06T20:15:00.000-04:002016-10-06T21:38:46.005-04:00Salus University Hosts ARTsisters Visionary Exhibition

I had been working on a pet portrait commission and now that it is finished, I can share it with you.
My previous portraits had been in acrylic on canvas. This one is watercolor on hot pressed 140 lb watercolor paper. I haven't packed away forever my acrylic brushes; I'm just taking a break for a bit in order to play on paper! I am thoroughly enjoying my current watercolor adventures.

ORCHID FUN TODAY!
'Tis a chilly, rainy, dreary kinda day here in my part of Pennsylvania. I should be tackling my usual chores at the house, but that muse in my head just would not leave me alone. I just had to paint today!
So I listened to that voice in my head. I opened my watercolor palette, squirted out some new color, broke out the brushes and pulled out a little mini Jeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-21092327963247766712015-04-05T21:40:00.000-04:002015-04-05T21:40:20.039-04:00ARTsisters Reception of Ten Colorful Years: Photos!

Hello again.I have been absent from this blog for many months. Real life, (aka, financial responsibility) has prevented me from keeping it up on a regular basis anymore. After a couple of recent job changes, although I still stay quite busy, I am now in a situation where I believe I may finally have more time to devote to this blog.
I wanted to share new about my fellow ARTsisters. There is anJeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-31372172277842358572014-12-14T22:06:00.002-05:002014-12-14T22:17:31.688-05:00Marius, The Danish Giraffe
Apologies for my terrible absence from this blog! Life in the fast lane, never seems to slow down.
Allow me to catch up a bit...
This painting is about Marius, a young giraffe who lived in the Copenhagen Zoo. Once he was old enough to breed, the zoo decided that there was no need for another giraffe with his genes and so they shot him and fed his carcass to the zoo lions.

Coming soon,
As we wrap up the current ARTsisters' exhibition at Old City Jewish Art Center, our next show will be at Merion Art and Repro in Ardmore PA.
In honor of the manager there who recently died we are planning a show where the theme of our paintings will be giraffes. Apparently Lou loved giraffes. All paintings will be the same size and price and we will be offering the donation that Jeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-84333054046604252732014-07-13T12:55:00.003-04:002014-07-13T13:05:35.899-04:00ARTsisters Exhibition Extension

Years ago, when I visited Louisiana, I saw trees with Spanish Moss hanging from them, as seen in this painting. I really love that stuff! I wish it grew here in Pennsylvania. It doesn't though. Too cold.
I'm getting things ready prepping for my first painting workshop of 2014 tonight. Shall I teach how to paint this image? Or another? I am still deciding. So, tonight, a tidbit of my life, of my heritage, and of my 'familia.' (in honor of my cousin Javier)
I took a bag of chocolate morsels which I bought today with the intention of some possible holiday cookie baking. I opened the bag, tipped a handful into my hand and poured the rest into a mason jar for easy storage. (Easy to get when wanted, yet easy to keep fresh!)
Then I remembered that Jeannepaintshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12758158243959801368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37270151.post-27610024276726972012013-11-30T19:25:00.001-05:002013-12-01T16:45:45.632-05:00Chestnutwold Craft Fair-Dec 6-7th, 2013
