Canning Fever 2012

Today I canned 8 pints of tomato/spaghetti sauce using mostly home garden harvest produce. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that someday in the future we will be opening up a jar of homemade sauce as part of our dinner plan.

So far this season we have canned spaghetti sauce, some new pickle and relish recipes, and several salsa recipes (with varying degrees of heat depending upon how many and what kind of hot peppers were included! Pictured above is the latest salsa.)
I can't wait till we have some green tomatoes so I can try my favorite green relish recipe!
