Workshop Schedule

I have embarked on a new journey. Following the path of my father, who was an educator, I am now teaching fine arts workshops in acrylic painting. Classes are held at two area Michaels Arts & Crafts stores (Conshohocken and King of Prussia). They are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and a few Sunday afternoons (see schedule below).

The workshop will address some of the basic principles of color and composition, and will focus on some of the basic techniques of acrylic painting. By the end of each two-hour class, students will have completed a finished painting. Class schedule reflects the rotation of subject matter: Landscape, Floral, Seascape, and Still Life. Students may register for one or several classes.

You can help me get this thing off the ground by spreading the word to any friends you think might be interested. Michaels is offering 40% OFF September and October classes. When you register for a workshop, you will be given a syllabus containing a materials list. There is a kit you can buy which will supply you with the materials needed, but if you already have some brushes and paint, you may use them (although having the proper colors will give best results.)

Directions:
From 476 North, take Norristown exit, make a right onto Chemical Rd, next right onto Ridge. Stay in right lane to take the u-turn/left turn loop at Allan Wood Rd. Make first left after crossing Ridge into the shopping center entrance at the Home depot. Left again, then a right and you’ll see the Michaels store.

Store is located a little bit north of the K of P Mall on Rte 202. Heading north from the mall, on 202, turn left at the light AFTER the Acme. It is BEFORE you get to Henderson Rd,.

Latest Fine Arts Workshops

I have had Internet challenges lately, plus have been busy with Workshops and framing work at 2 Michaels Arts & Crafts stores. All of my computer issues are still not yet worked out, but I did want to post a quick reminder about the workshops I am now teaching.

By the end of a two hour class the student will have a completed acrylic painting, and will have learned some basics of conmposition, color theory/mixing, and some techniques upon which you can build skills. Please consider signing up for one or more class with me.

My next acrylic painting workshop at Michaels store will be tomorrow evening:Tuesday at 630pm.
You can register for the class at the Plymouth Meeting/Conshohocken store It's at 104 Allan wood Rd. Get off 476 at Norristown, Take Chemical Road up to Ridge Pk, Turn right. Then take the U-turn/left turn loop from the right hand lane to make a left onto Allan Wood Rd. Very first left to enter the shopping center, left and a right in the lot, you'll see it.

This Thursday night, I will be at the King of Prussia store (200 W deKalb Pike- just a little bit north of the K of P mall on Rte 202.)

Please note: They like you to register in person at the store. But since there's not much time between now and Tuesday, you can also sign up the night of the class. Just make sure you come early enough to get the transaction out of the way before the class 6:30 pm start time! (I pack a lot into those two hours. I start promptly at 6:30. I don't want to cheat anyone out of a minute of painting fun!) Also, please make sure you call me 610-804-2888 to let me know if you plan to do that, so I can make sure there is room for you in the class..
